How do you remove an adhesive price sticker from sheet music without damaging the music itself?
I have lots of antique, vintage and retro sheet music I purchased at a book sale. I wanted to remove the adhesive price stickers but did not want to damage the music since it is paper. Any suggestions?
I would lay the sheet music on a towel-covered table. Then take another towel and lay that OVER the sheet. Spritz the top towel lightly with water. Then place a hot iron over it where the label is. This should “melt” the adhesive used on the sticky labels. Pull it off before it dries up again. I wouldn’t use the “steam” setting on the iron itself because it sometimes drips out a lot if you haven’t set the temp right. Good luck.. hope it works.
