Want to start a scrapbook, where do i begin?

I’ve been wanting to start a scrapbook of my baby girl since she was born. She is now 10 month old and I have yet to start. My goal is to have it done by her 1 yr b-day party. Problem is I’ve never made one before and I have no idea where to start. I wanted to make one of her first year but I’m unsure if that’s too broad. I have bought a kit but that’s all. Does anybody know any websites that would help with ideas and how to start?

I have made many scrapbooks, so here are my ideas. Buy a whole heap of different things, like pink ribben, coloured pens, lace, bits of coloured paper/cardboard, pretty little girl things- princess stickers etc. Cut out bits of coloured cardboard just a little bigger than the standard siz of a photo, stick down a border of lace and stick a photo in the middle of the coloured card. Do this with different colours on every page. Divide the book up into four sections focusing on newborn-2months, 3-5months- 6-9 months and 10-12 months. include little cut out’s dates of first roll-over, first-tooth, first smile, first word, first time she stood up unaided etc do this on the computer with fancy font and cut and paste. Another nice addition would be to get a little sentence or two from all the people closest to her (aunt, uncles, godparents, grandparents, brothers, sisters then you and ur partner) you could ask them to finish the sentence “i love (insert name) because……” so you might have “i love emily bcoz she is the light in my life and brings a smile to my face everyday” and put everyones quote on a seperate page with a photo of your daughter with them included on that page. I think that would be lovely for her to look at when she gets older. Also on the very last page, put her hands and feet in paint and mark her hand and footprints put the date underneath and have a little letter to your girl from mummy and daddy telling her how special she is to you and what joy she has brought into your life!!
