how do you organize your scrapbook paper and stickers?
I am trying to figure out the best solution.. I have a ton of papers and stickers. I am also very tight on space so I was thinking like a box that stands the paper up. Any ideas on where I can get something that’s not that expensive?
I bought plastic drawer units for my 12×12 papers and sort them by color. You can get a 3-drawer unit at Walmart for around $10. The Container Store as well as Hobby Lobby have 6-drawer units but they run about $60. You can do essentially the same thing by buying two $10 units and stacking them. Much more economical. I have about 4 units stacked together.
I store my stickers according to category: wedding/romance, baby, vacation, friends/growing up, summer, fall, Christmas, spring/Easter, winter, school, etc. I use the 8 1/2×11 tray units for them and place a small sticker or label on the outside to indicate what’s inside. A binder suggested by others is also a good idea.
It is easy to see the colored paper inside the plastic trays, so I don’t label them. I also have a office/kitchen utility 6-drawer unit on wheels where I store my cutting tools, chalk ink, ribbons, etc. I also purchased several small utility units designed to hold screws, nuts, bolts, etc. from the mechanic section at Walmart. These are used to hold small cutouts and punches I make out of leftover scraps. I too have a small space, so the key it to go upward by stacking units. Hope this helps.
