Does anyone know any ideas or crafts I could do with buttons?

I have the abouthalfandinch 4 hole buttons and would like to know any ideas or crafts of anykind I could do with buttons.

I dont want bracelets or scrapbook or those common ones that you see everywhere on websites…

Maybe ideas you used for your kids or for yourself.

I don’t know what is ordinary, I don’t mess with crafts much…so sorry if I am repeating things you have heard before.

You could sew them onto plain looking garments.

Eyes, wheels, etc for craft projects.

My mother had an old collection of buttons just sitting around in a big jar. They were kind of cool looking like that.

You could string them together for a Christmas tree garland, or a doorway decoration, similar to hippie beads.

You could decorate a belt.

You could use them in flower arranging? I think maybe they might, if sewn to the base of a fresh flower, help prop it up?

You could clean them up nice and use them in a fishbowl.

You could glue them to a picture frame and put a needlepoint piece inside.

You could glue them to a clear glass candleholder to throw interesting shadows from a flame.

You could use them for homemade tab top curtains.

You could sew them to ribbon and use for a bookmark.

You could convert them to jewelry.

You could decorate your sewing box with them.

You could use them as homemade checkers or game pieces. Paint some in other colors.

You could use them as tokens with your kids’ chore chart. Reward of buttons for chores and good behaviors, then they cash in their buttons for money or an event or a prize.

You could make hair ribbons out of them, or sew them onto elastics for a ponytail.
