How does a person do research on an Old Signature Memory Album?
My father bought a bunch of books at an estate sale and wants to know any available details of the album. It has personal notes from family and friends to the owner of the album. The first entry dates December 25 1898; the oldest in 1941. It even has details such as the people attending The Newberry School in Chicago, Ill. I’m not sure how to go about researching this. Any help is wonderful
try writing to the school giving as many details as you can about the people attending the school (and the dates they were there) and ask if they are still in touch with any of them (perhaps also including a letter that can be passed on to anyone they know – along the lines of I’ve got this old memory album that you appear in and wonder if you would be able to help me find out more about it and the people in it) – its a long shot as they would probably be in their 80s now but you never know…….
