Scrapbook embellishments like flowers are a popular use in scrapbooks. Flowers are pretty, colorful and can lighten up any page on a scrapbook. Flowers can also be used in any kind of theme, may it be for your baby girl or even boy, for the 1st birthday of your daughter or your first trip to the beach. It may be for a summer or spring outing in Europe or even for older events like a graduation or a debut party for your daughter. Still, when you’re using flowers as your scrapbook embellishments, it shouldn’t be the same quicklets all the time. Spice up your flowers with these powers.
Brads and Buttons
Brads and buttons are very useful scrapbook embellishments especially when it comes to flowers. This is because most buttons are in the shape of a circle and most brads are small enough to fit in the middle of flower quicklets or flower accents. Give your flowers visual interest by placing brads and buttons in the middle of the flower. Use embroidery floss and adhesive dots on the button to adhere it to the flower.
Ribbons and Yarn
Ribbons and yarns are always great embellishments when it comes to flowers. Aside from using ribbons as petals, you’ll also be able to use yarn to outline the petals and the circle in the middle. Double the yarn for bigger flower accents and use double sided adhesive to stick onto the flower. For an exotic look, try using dried leafs or fossilized leaves as the flower’s background.
