Are there any cartridge fountain pens which will accept dipping nibs? Is there a way to modify one?
It is very difficult to find 0.75 mm calligraphy nibs for regular fountain pens and not dip pens. Is there any way to modify a fountain pen or a dip nib to fit onto one another? Has anyone succeeded in doing this?
If you look at a cartridge pen… the nib attaches to part of the ink delivery system. A pointed nib would not work…would interfere with the essential part of the nib we love—the flex! Other broad-edge nibs, with or without a reservoir, would also be hampered. Not to mention that fountain pen ink is usually water-based, not light fast or water resistant.
